Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
We keep this simple. GigCharts uses the minimum storage needed to work, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. That's why you won't see a cookie-consent banner — everything we use is either strictly necessary or not a cookie at all.
What we store
- Sign-in cookie (essential). When you sign in, we keep a secure cookie/token so you stay signed in and your account stays protected. Without it, accounts can't work. This is exempt from consent requirements because it is strictly necessary.
- Local storage in your browser (not a cookie, never sent to us). The app saves your songs, settings and preferences in your own browser so it works offline and remembers where you left off. This data stays on your device unless you sign in and use cloud sync.
- Analytics (if enabled) — cookieless. If we measure traffic, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that records aggregate stats (page views, country, referrer) and does not set cookies or identify you.
Managing it
You can clear cookies and local storage anytime in your browser settings. Clearing them signs you out and removes anonymous, local-only charts, so export anything you want to keep first.
