How it works

From paste to performance in three steps.

  1. Edit — write chords, shape your song: the song editor on a laptop, inline [chord] source on the right, a live chart on the left.

    Paste your song.

    Use chords over lyrics or inline [C] chords. GigCharts recognizes both.

  2. Arrange — structure your chords in style: the annotations panel beside a chart with coloured verse spines and a Build cue.

    Prepare it.

    Transpose, add a capo, mark sections and fit the chart to the page.

  3. Export — the finished chart on a tablet, on a music stand on a lit stage.

    Play from it.

    Export a crisp PDF for the stand, your binder or your tablet app.

Why GigCharts exists

I wanted one songbook I could trust on stage.

I'm Atti, a musician in a Bay-Area band. I built the first version of GigCharts in 2002 because formatting every chord sheet by hand left me with a binder full of mismatched pages. This version turns that same need into a tool other musicians can use: paste a song, prepare it for the gig, and know the next chart will match the last one.

GigCharts is made by one person with the help of AI tools. The product decisions and final review are mine. How it is made.

Questions, answered plainly.

Is my stuff private?

Yes. Your songs are yours. On the free plan they stay on your device; Pro backs them up to your private library. Nothing is public, nothing is searchable by strangers.

Can my band share one library?

Yes. A band has a library of its own: the charts belong to the band rather than to one person's laptop, and every member opens the same ones. You bring people in with an invite code and give each of them a role. How bands work →

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once loaded, GigCharts can open and run without a connection. A signed-in account keeps its plan for 30 days offline. A feature you have never opened before may need one connected visit before it is cached.

What devices does it work on?

GigCharts runs in modern browsers. Creating charts is best on a laptop or tablet; reading and quick edits work on smaller screens. Exported PDFs work anywhere. See the guide →
